A SERVICE LEARNING MANUAL FOR ALL

With more than 20 years of service in the inner city of New Orleans Dwa-

na Caliste wrote So You Say You Want to Help? as a guide for new volunteers

and teachers. Currently a teacher at George W. Carver High School, and she

serves as the Director of Programs for Thrive Ninth Ward (formerly Desire

Street Ministries). Her hope is that the manual will assist in building solid and

authentic relationships in communities all over the world.
